DESCRIPTION:Empower Our Families\, in collaboration with Uplift Our Local Community\,  will have a Mental Health Awareness 5k Walk on May 31st at 10:00 am at the Granville Athletic Park (GAP). The GAP is located at 4615 Belltown Rd\, Oxford\, NC 27565.   The purpose of the walk is to support NAMI in its efforts to share stories\, build communities\, and walk together to achieve Mental Health for All. NAMI believes walking with others can increase the mental health benefits. It can provide an opportunity for social interaction\, which can improve mood and reduce feelings of loneliness or isolation. Walking with a friend or in a group can also offer motivation and accountability\, making it easier to stick to your routine. You are cordially invited to walk with us. Please wear a green blouse or shirt.
